Donkey Kong Theme

Not sure whether this track is from the Saturday Supercade of Nintendo cartoons but I really like the way they varispeed everything so it's all off-key and out of time...I guess this wasn't delibrate but certainly adds to it in my ears!
Also check out the 'King of Kong' if you haven't yet. great documentary!

Ewok Celebration-Meco

A lot of blokes, and it mainly is blokes, tend to obsess about Star Wars...now don 't get me wrong I like it an all that, it's fine and was a part of my childhood too, but some people just can't let go...which is fine. I understand that.
Anyhow, here is Ewok Celebration by Meco, the guy that did the Star Wars disco version amongst other things.
It features a fairly mental nonesense rap towards the end...or maybe it's not nonesense and they're speaking 'Jedi' or 'Ewok' or something?

Starlight Rainbow Bright+Bink Bonk-Rainbow Bright

Well, if wikipedia is to be believed these little cuties generated over $1 billion in doll sales alone and these two tracks go some way in explaining why...think 'Bink Bonk' is due for covering...what do you reckon, Lady Gaga?..MIchael Jackson's ghost?
Time to get the crayons out...

Main Title+Peaks and Valleys-Chips

Now I haven't seen 70's cult show 'Chips' for awhile, so can't quite remember whether it was any good or not? Looking back I find a lot of these shows a bit hit and miss, some truly great while others re-run the same old formular.
One thing is for sure though, the theme(and accompanying album) 'kick ass', as our American chums might say...
So here is the main theme from the show and 'Peaks and Valleys' the second track from the album.

Tut Tut Tut-Gillian Hills

Actress and singer Gillian Hills here with 'Tut Tut Tut'. Could have popped in my Franch post awhile back, but more than welcome here among the TV/Movie theme. If you're a fan of Hammer Horror movies (and let's face, who isn't?) then check out 'Demons Of The Mind',1972 featuring Gillian in action.

Take It Out On Time-Lewis Collins

Famous Tv 'hardman' Lewis Collins here with his superb 'Take It Out On Time', he could have been another 'Hoff' with his pop career if he wasn't being so 'hard' at the time in 'The Professionals'..still, 'Who Dares Wins' is a pretty good film, I'd recommend you all check it out...

Star Fleet-Brain May and friends

Here we have the wonderful Brian May's cover of the theme from the classic 80's kids show Star Fleet...and it's pretty much everything you could want from the May's riffology...and more! (yes,it does go on a bit...seems like it will never end at one point...)

Poem + Ballard-Evel Knievel

Evel Knievel was like totally badass...in an old un-pc kind of way!
I remember receiving his 'Cycle Toy' one Christmas and it was pretty good until our dog, which would chase the bike as it shot down the street, finally caught him before me and chewed him to bits...a fitting end to a true hero.
Two tracks here however, firstly we have Evel's poem, featuring his superb couplets and deep insights into life's mysteries then a tribute-'The Ballard of Evel Knievel'.

Pingu Dance-David Hasselhoff

Even though he appears to be doing something different in the picture above, the Hoff is in fact found here doing the 'Pingu' in his track 'Pingu Dance'.
It was a close call between this and 'Crazy For You'...but I think this best summed up the drunken genius that is 'The Hoff'...

Kure Kure Takora-(music) Shunsuke Kikuchi

Before Tellytubbies and their ilk, there existed in a the far off land of Japan a show called Kure Kure Takora (Gimmi Gimmi Octopus,apparently...) and Lo, it was genius as you can see from the clip below.
I would seriously recommend that you check out as many episodes as you can before some fool takes them down!
I also think that the Sony psp game Loco Roco was heavily influenced by this, at the very least by the sound.
